Christmas is just around the corner, and with it comes fabulous flavours and delicious dishes that can be easily paired with our fantastic chutneys – such as the much-revered Christmas roast dinner! Another great tradition during this festive period is, of course, the Christmas markets peppered throughout the country.
Cumbria is no exception. This hotspot of culture and gastronomy will be home to an array of markets that present the perfect opportunity for people to explore a myriad of different activities and cuisines. Where else can you find amazing food, Santa’s grotto and Christmassy arts and crafts in the same spot?
Here at Farraday’s Tasty we’re looking forward to showcasing our cherished chutneys, relishes and pickles in no less than two different markets this December, so pop on over and find us there – we’re offering tastings of our tasty products; an opportunity not to be missed!
Ja Windermere – Saturday 10th to Sunday 11th
What goes great with German food? Why, chutneys, of course!
We’re going to be presenting our jars of deliciousness in Ja Windermere German Christmas Market – a food market with a ‘German twist’. With over forty stalls of local produce, the Mountain Goat Santa’s Grotto, Brass Band and choirs, the entertainment is perfect for the whole family!
Ja Windermere is organised and put together by Windermere Information Centre, Councillor Ben Berry and Made in Cumbria. The multiculturalism of this event is unique and exciting, and we’re beyond ecstatic to be part of such a fantastic idea and display our products amongst other food lovers.
The large range of festive stalls will be selling everything Christmas-related, from knitwear to soaps, among countless other crafts. You’ll be spoilt for choice! And it will be easy for you to find us there – just follow the delighted faces of people who have tried our sweet and spicy creations!
This family-friendly, community event will be held in Victoria Street, in Windermere, so visit it from 9:30am to 5pm on Saturday 10th December and 10am to 4pm on Sunday 11th December.
Taste Cumbria Christmas – Saturday 10th to Sunday 11th
Held in Cockermouth, this fantastic fair is certainly a one-of-a-kind event you won’t want to miss! The giant food fair will be complemented by beautiful decorations and Christmas sights and smells that will make you wish Christmas was here already.
Adding to this will be Farraday’s Tasty! If you want to take a look at our vast range of chutneys, relishes and pickles, this will be a great opportunity to see them in the flesh and get your taste-on; this will certainly make it easier to decide which ones you’ll absolutely love (hint: all of them)!
With so many food stalls to browse, as well as a fairground and marquees with plenty of arts and crafts, the kids will enjoy every single moment of this event. They will also be thrilled to attend local artists’ performances and live music during this weekend, as will you! After all, this event offers an incredible street party feel for everyone in the family, from the youngest to the oldest.
Special offers, samples and competitions will be the order of the day – and Farraday’s is more than willing to oblige. Our relishes, pickles and chutneys will be right at home amongst food connoisseurs and Christmas shoppers alike, and you’ll be given the chance to try them before you buy them!
